Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens is a great day trip. Located in Belmont, NC it is over 100 acres of gorgeous gardens and natural preserves.
Many events are held here but it is a great place to have a picnic or look at nature at it's best. Even better is that is is open every day except, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's.
With the expansive gardens every season is a new adventure.
